If you are wondering whether an assessment might be helpful, please contact us via email, text/ WhatsApp or fill in our contact form.
Many people are now offered rapid online assessments. While these can be helpful in some situations, our approach is different. We provide careful, face-to-face Multi-Disciplinary assessments that take the time needed to understand the whole person.
Many of the people we support have complex backgrounds where Neurodiversity overlaps with mental health needs, trauma, attachment difficulties or medical conditions. Our team has extensive experience working in these situations and takes the time needed to understand the whole person.

We know that coming for an assessment can feel daunting. Our aim is to create a calm, respectful environment where people feel listened to and understood.
We take time to hear each person’s story and to understand their experiences in their own words. Our approach is careful, thoughtful and compassionate, recognising that every individual and family arrives with their own journey.
Many people tell us that the assessment process itself becomes an important moment of clarity and understanding.
Many families travel to our Clara Vale Centre from Newcastle, Northumberland, Durham, Teesside and across the North East for our specialist Autism and ADHD assessments.
Families, young people and adults often describe the assessment process as a moment of clarity, helping them better understand themselves and move forward with confidence.
“We can’t recommend ANE highly enough for their professionalism and expertise in assessing our daughter. The process was clear and thorough, thus reducing additional stress. The diagnosis and subsequent advice and information have been imperative in helping us function as a family.”
